Schedule Your First Meeting
A step-by-step guide to scheduling your first meeting with the SkipUp assistant.
This tutorial walks you through scheduling your first meeting using the SkipUp meeting assistant. By the end, you’ll have a calendar event booked with all participants.
What you’ll need
Section titled “What you’ll need”- The assistant’s email address (found in your workspace settings, e.g.,
skip@skipup.co) - The email addresses of the people you want to meet with
Step 1: Start a scheduling email
Section titled “Step 1: Start a scheduling email”Compose a new email or reply to an existing thread. Add the assistant’s email address to the CC field, along with any participants you want to schedule with.
Example email:
To: alice@example.com, bob@example.comCC: skip@skipup.coSubject: Meeting next week
Hi Alice and Bob,
Can we find 30 minutes to sync next week?
Thanks!Step 2: Receive time suggestions
Section titled “Step 2: Receive time suggestions”Within minutes, the assistant will reply with available times that work for everyone. It checks calendars (for connected users) and suggests options based on your preferences.
Example response from the assistant:
Hi everyone,
I found these times that work for a 30-minute meeting next week:
- Tuesday, Feb 10 at 2:00 PM
- Wednesday, Feb 11 at 10:00 AM
- Thursday, Feb 12 at 3:30 PM
Let me know which works best, or suggest an alternative!
Step 3: Select a time
Section titled “Step 3: Select a time”Reply to the thread with your preference. You can be casual about it:
- “Tuesday at 2pm works for me!”
- “The first option is good”
- “Let’s do Wednesday morning”
If you’re scheduling with multiple people, the assistant waits for confirmations from others before booking.
Step 4: Meeting is created
Section titled “Step 4: Meeting is created”Once a time is confirmed, the assistant:
- Creates a calendar event for all participants
- Adds a video meeting link (Google Meet, Zoom, or Teams based on your settings)
- Sends calendar invites to everyone
Example confirmation:
Great! I’ve booked your meeting:
Team Sync Tuesday, Feb 10 at 2:00 PM (30 min) Participants: You, Alice, Bob Google Meet link included
Calendar invites have been sent to all participants.
