Privacy Features
How the assistant protects your calendar and scheduling privacy.
Privacy is fundamental to how SkipUp works. The assistant is designed to coordinate meetings without exposing your calendar or preferences to others.
Key privacy principles
Section titled “Key privacy principles”Your calendar stays private
Section titled “Your calendar stays private”The assistant never reveals your calendar contents to external parties. When coordinating with someone outside your organization:
- They don’t see your busy times
- They don’t see your meeting titles
- They don’t see when you’re free
Instead, the assistant suggests reasonable business hours and asks for their availability.
Blind calendar mode
Section titled “Blind calendar mode”For external participants (people without SkipUp accounts), the assistant operates in “blind calendar” mode:
- Suggests times that work for you without showing your schedule
- Proposes reasonable business hours in their timezone
- Collects their availability through normal email replies
This protects your calendar while still enabling efficient scheduling.
Preferences are private
Section titled “Preferences are private”Your scheduling preferences (working hours, timezone rules, balance settings) are visible only to you:
- Other participants cannot see your preference settings
- Only you can inquire about your own preferences via support
- The assistant applies your preferences without disclosing them
Private messaging
Section titled “Private messaging”When you need confidential communication with the assistant:
- Add a note like “Don’t share this with others”
- The assistant respects private instructions
- Confidential context stays between you and the assistant
