How to move or cancel meetings using the assistant.

Plans change. Here’s how to reschedule or cancel meetings with the assistant.

To move an existing meeting to a different time, reply to the original scheduling thread or start a new email:

  • “Can we move tomorrow’s sync to Thursday instead?”
  • “I need to reschedule our planning meeting—any time next week works”
  • “Something came up. Can we push our 2pm to later this week?”

The assistant will:

  1. Find new times that work for all participants
  2. Send updated options to everyone
  3. Update the calendar event once a new time is confirmed

To cancel a meeting entirely:

  • “Please cancel tomorrow’s planning meeting”
  • “We need to cancel this meeting”
  • “Let’s cancel—we’ll reschedule later”

The assistant will:

  1. Remove the calendar event
  2. Notify all participants of the cancellation

When you reschedule:

  • The original event is updated with the new time
  • All participants receive an updated calendar invite
  • The video meeting link remains the same

When you cancel:

  • The calendar event is deleted
  • All participants receive a cancellation notice

Reschedule when:

  • Same participants, different time
  • The meeting topic hasn’t changed
  • You want to keep the conversation history

Start a new request when:

  • Different participants
  • Significantly different purpose
  • You want a clean slate
